This whole episode sounds like an asparegus soup to me…References :
yes. Mild symptoms would be a part of AS…but not major symtoms. Talk to your doctor about a dual diagnosis.References :
Believe me….if one is suffering from manic depression….THERE IS NOTHING ELSE LEFT TO SUFFER FROM.References :
I have borderline personality disorder (often confused with manic depression – but not the same at all.) I think it may be more likely this. (The mood swings are much faster than with Manic Depression/Bipolar) Do Google search for borderline – there are I think 5 diagnosive factors.References :

Why not, I doubt Asperger's confers immunity and manic depression certainly isn't uncommon, so I'd say its certainly possible.References :
First, you need to go to a doctor or to your local mental health clinic. They are diagnostic experts.
That said, we all try to diagnose ourselves, and yes, you can have multiple dx. Your question is like asking, if she has measles, can she also have a headache? It is the doctor's job to figure out if the "headache" is 1. a symptom of measles; 2. a result of medication; or another malady.
Good luck to youReferences :
You poor thing, go to a doctor, they will be able to help you feel better and explain to you why you feel as you doReferences :
Yes,I think so.I had Asperger's-like behavior when I was a child, though I was never diagnosed(this was in the 60's-they didn't know as much then),and I have suffered from severe depression and anxiety disorder for all of my adult life.I wonder sometimes if I am bi-polar ,as I have the same symptoms that you describe, but I have never been evaluated for it;I take enough medication for the anxiety& depression, plus Chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic back pain. It's no fun,but I guess we must try and do the best we can with the cards we are dealt in life and always know that there are people who are much worse off than we are(though sometimes it's hard to imagine).Take care and hope you're feeling better.References : Personal experience.
I have Asperger's and my symptoms aren't anything like those you describe. The least you can do is see a psychiatrist. xxxReferences :
