To those who have had Postpartum Depression how did you cope?

I have had Postpartum Depression for a year. I am on medication which has helped calm the mood swings, but I just don't feel as though I am on the road to recovery. What helped you the most and when did you know that you were going to be okay?

    I had PPD after 2 of my 4 children.It IS tough to beat…what helped me was getting some exercise when I could,and our local hospital had a new-mothers support group which was wonderful.You might want to inquire at a hospital near to you.Best Wishes.References :

    you have to be strong and you can not let every thing bother you. take time out of the day for just yourself. meditate or do something you like to do.mind over matter. thats the technique i used but then mine only lasted about a month after the birth of my son. good luck things will look up!!References :

    the best thing to do is take time for yourself. One or two nights a week need to be mommy nights. go to a movie or have the baby spend a few hours with a f=close friend or family member (outside the house) and take a nap. Remember you are not a bad mom for doing this. By doing this you will feel better and be able to better care for your baby.References : I had to deal with this also
