I used to be like that too but it turns out, I wasn't depressed at all, I was sort of allergic to sugar. That sounds weird, but I really cannot tolerate anything made of sugar or white flour, or things like that. I used to skip meals, then eat LOADS of sweets and once I stopped, my moods improved by 100% It's funny because I didn't realize how many sweets I was eating until I started counting. And I didn't realize how addicted I was until I tried to stop!
My symptoms were: mood swings, crying for no reason, getting super angry for no reason, getting almost suicidal over small disappointments (not really suicidal, but the smallest things made me totally fall apart), being very short tempered, feeling tired, headaches, and I had no motivation to do anything. I wanted to sit around the house all day.
I didn't want drugs because I had already taken that road and wasn't willing to go there again.References :
