    I don't really think it is any higher then before, I think it is just that more people are talking about it more. I think life gets harder all the times. Teens now-a-days know more about life then there parents did, and your parents knew more then your grandparents etc. etc. Knowing more means more to worry about. There is a lot going on in the minds of teens. Not quite grown up, but yet not a child, homonal changes, peer pressure, and just there own ideas on how their lives should go.References :
